Black Lives Matter: A Glimpse Into Local Real Estate History
On today's podcast, I share history on systemic racism within our local real estate market. Some of the subjects touch on deed restrictions forbidding purchases by people of color, Supreme Court rulings, discriminatory practices by a Southwood (Torrance) developer, and Manhattan Beach's story of Bruce's Beach. These injustices still reverberate today. The senseless killing of George Floyd, and countless others, must stop. We must do more (and talk more) to bring change for an equitable society.
